HaPpY Tuesday Afternoon, Beloved,
Sunday, we continued our series on, “Defining Faith and How It Works.” We are defining “Faith” as, Trust, Belief, Reliance, Confidence, and Commitment. Our text is Heb. 11.1, 2. We are discovering that hope is the blueprint, and faith gives substance to that blueprint. Hope and faith work hand in hand together. Now, we took some extensive time in Romans 10. 1 – 17, looking at the word “Saved” in verses 1, 9, 13. Verse 1, the context the word “Saved” is being expressed is a greek word, “Soteria”; it means deliverance, safety, preservation, wholeness, and healing. These five words sum up God’s heart for humanity. When we release our faith in God’s love for us, we take hold of deliverance. We take hold of safety. We take hold of preservation. We take hold of wholeness. We take hold of healing. Verse 13, the word “Saved” comes from a different greek word, “Sozo”; it means Eternal Life, wholeness and restoration.
So, by releasing our faith, submitting to God as our Lord and Saviour, results in Eternal Life, totally delivered from darkness, living under an umbrella of safety from harm, and the effects of attacks from Satan, and his co-horts. We primarily focused on verse 17, the word ~ “word” from the greek. It is the word, “RHEMA”, and it means, the spoken Word. The take-away is, faith comes by speaking God’s Word, the Word of God. It doesn’t come simply by reading it, unless you read it out loud. I made the point that, God’s power is released when the heart and mouth get into agreement, and SAY the same thing. We do not deny pains and diseases, or attacks; they are very real. Instead, we look beyond them to God’s promises. The attack of any kind is “opposition.” That opposition becomes an “opportunity”, to RHEMA: speak the Word, God’s Word to our circumstances that challenges the promises of God’s Word. Beloved, for the complete message, go to our YouTube channel, pull the message up, and let it encourage you to take opposition, and make it an opportunity to show God’s power.
