Good morning,

I trust your Easter weekend was a fabulous one! We were excited to celebrate Easter with you on Sunday, culminating with Holy Communion. We took our text from 1Cor. 1.18, “For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.” By the direction of the Holy Spirit, we put emphases on the message of the cross speaks .  .  .  . #1. Pardon: Through Jesus’ death on the cross, we are pardoned, or we are released from the penalty of sin, by placing our trust in Him to forgive us of our sin. #2. Purity: We need not only the forgiveness of sin, but also a conscience that is clean. As believer’s, we need to let the purity of God penetrate into our lives as far as the pollution of sin once did. #3. Peace: In Christ Jesus, I go free from the guilt of sin, free from the past, and the pain of yesterday. How? When we accepted Jesus as our Savior, we now have peace WITH God, that will lead us into the peace OF God, by renewing our minds to His Word [the Bible]. #4. A Promise:

Jn. 11.25, 26; Jesus said to her [Martha], “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?” The promise is in His statement, “I am the resurrection and the life.” He is claiming to be the source of both! And He is!!!  There is NO resurrection apart from Jesus Christ, there is NO eternal life apart from Jesus Christ. I believe the take-away for us is, the message of the cross provides us victory for every day of our life. Plus, Our victory is NOT dependent on our circumstances being perfect or flawless.  Our victory is secured in the blood of Jesus, shed at Calvary, on a hill called Golgotha. ❤️
