Blaine Bowman and His Goodtime Band
BLAINE BOWMAN was saved during the “Jesus Movement” in 1971 in an ANDRAE CROUCH concert in Denver, Colorado. In 1973 he started preaching and went full-time into the ministry at age 20 in 1976. Blaine was ordained in 1978 and has been credentialed with Open Bible Churches since 1983. Blaine wears a lot of hats as husband, father, preacher, Bible teacher, songwriter, record producer, GUITARIST, bus driver, booking agent, newsletter editor, website “uploader”, and has taught classes at a local Bible college. A few of his musical & record producing influences have been Andrae Crouch, Ray Benson, Bill Maxwell, Eric Clapton, Kenny Hinson, & Hadley Hockensmith. He holds teaching seminars on the subjects of faith, righteousness, the Holy Spirit, spirit/soul/body, victory, grace & God’s covenant of peace. Blaine has a Bachelor’s Degree from Logos Christian College in Jacksonville, Florida in Religious Science, Practical Ministry & Music. In 2012 he graduated from the same school with a Master’s Degree in Church History.Sharing the WORD and “seeing the lights come on” in the hearers is Blaine’s first love and writing and singing songs that provoke thought and challenge to the hearers is also a joy to him. He is excited about a New Multi-CD Collection which includes over 100 songs he has written. He also is releasing some books in the near future that are sure to bless many. He just released a Guitar CD called “Among Friends” with 12 original instrumentals. When he is home he loves to cut trees, clear ground, work in the barn (that he’s making to look like Cracker Barrel inside), watch his homing pigeons fly and ride his Quarter Horse around the ranch. A great Saturday at home would be biscuits and gravy for breakfast and a trip to one of three flea markets in his area!
